As the UK deals with the short to long-term effects of the global pandemic, the manufacturing sector is a vertical which has suffered significant challenges in the past year. Undoubtedly continuing into Q4 of 2021 and beyond. In addition to the difficulties imposed by the pandemic, the ramifications of Britain leaving the EU are also having a direct impact on the industry. With skilled labour shortages and supply chain challenges, every manufacturing business looks to ways to further reduce errors, waste, and risks. If we save companies, we save jobs. Each job represents a family, mouths to feed, and maybe mortgages and other financial obligations.
You see, our motivation for this blog derives from our formation in 2008 to support UK plc and prevent further erosion of a UK manufacturing base, together with the basic assumption that businesses like yourselves yearn to drive efficiencies – but often this is prevented by certain practices and procedures. Unfortunately, the road to recovery from the pandemic effects will be difficult, and there will be casualties along the way as we fight this invisible enemy.
